Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci (April 15, 1452 – May 2, 1519), more commonly Leonardo da Vinci, was an Italian polymath whose areas of interest included invention, painting, sculpting, architecture, science, music, mathematics, engineering, literature, anatomy, geology, astronomy, botany, writing, history, and cartography. He has been variously called the father of paleontology, ichnology, and architecture, and is widely considered one of the greatest painters of all time. Sometimes credited with the inventions of the parachute, helicopter and tank, he epitomized the Renaissance humanist ideal.
Details
Leonardo is unable to get Mona Lisa (his model) to smile after his notebooks were stolen. Carmen Sandiego's thief built a "Jester Machine" using da Vinci's spare machine parts, but the thief damaged the machine during his escape. The player must help fix the machine by placing the missing machine parts in their proper places.
During the final chase, Leonardo is one of the characters who meets up with Carmen Sandiego.
